Tazee is Fingular's newer Malaysian brand — a Shariah-compliant sibling to Tambadana, run by the same operating company. Here's what the Tawarruq structure actually means for your cost, and one difference from Tambadana worth knowing before you apply.

What is Tazee?
Tazee is a Shariah-compliant personal financing app launched in March 2026 by Wawasan Cojaya Sdn. Bhd. — the same legal entity that operates Tambadana, reviewed separately on this site. Where Tambadana is a conventional interest-based loan, Tazee is structured as Tawarruq (Commodity Murabahah), executed through Sedania's As-Sidq Digital Commodity Trading Platform, with Shariah compliance certified by Masryef Advisory.

How Tazee's Cost Actually Compares to Tambadana
Same Flat-Rate Math, Different Label
Tazee's own worked example — RM5,000 for 3 months (90 days), calculated as RM5,000 × 90 × 0.05% = RM225 profit, total repayment RM5,225 — uses the exact same flat-rate formula as Tambadana's conventional loan example. Tambadana's official Product Disclosure Sheet discloses this flat-rate math produces a true effective rate of 31.72% p.a., nearly double the advertised 18% p.a. maximum. Tazee has not published its own effective-rate disclosure that we could find, but since the underlying calculation is identical, ask Tazee directly for the effective rate before accepting — don't assume "Shariah-compliant" means "cheaper."
Being Shariah-compliant addresses how the financing is structured (no conventional interest, no riba) — it does not automatically mean a lower cost than the conventional equivalent. Both Tazee and Tambadana are capped at the same 18% p.a. legal maximum for licensed financing in Malaysia.
The Early Settlement Catch
This is the clearest practical difference from Tambadana. Tazee's own FAQ states plainly: "no rebate (ibra') applies for early partial or full payment." Under Tawarruq, the total profit is fixed as part of the murabahah sale price at the start — paying early doesn't reduce what you owe, unlike a conventional loan where early settlement typically saves you the unearned interest.
Tambadana, by contrast, explicitly allows early settlement with no early settlement fee (the interest owed reduces as you pay down the conventional loan faster). If minimizing total cost via early repayment is your plan, this is a meaningful difference to know about upfront.
How Tazee Works
- Choose your financing amount (RM320 – RM6,000) on the app or tazee.my
- Verify your phone number via OTP
- Fill in a short digital form — MyKad only, no other documents
- Shariah-compliant review — application assessed, may include a phone verification call
- Tawarruq transactions completed, then funds disbursed to your bank account within 24 hours of approval
Requirements & Eligibility
- Malaysian citizen, aged 18–60
- Valid MyKad
- Stable income (subject to internal assessment — self-employed/informal income applicants are considered too)
- No guarantor or collateral required
Pros and Cons
Pros
- Genuinely Shariah-certified (Masryef Advisory) for Muslim borrowers wanting to avoid conventional interest
- MyKad-only application — no payslip needed
- Fast: approval same day, funds within 24 hours
- 3-day grace period after due date before late charges apply
- Same operator as Tambadana (Wawasan Cojaya) — an established, licensed company, not a fly-by-night app
- Small minimum amount (RM320) for genuinely small emergencies
Cons
- No rebate on early settlement — paying early doesn't reduce your total cost
- Same 18% p.a. maximum flat-rate cap as the conventional Tambadana product — 'Shariah-compliant' isn't automatically cheaper
- No published effective-rate disclosure found (Tambadana's sibling product discloses 31.72% p.a. — Tazee's true cost is likely comparable but unconfirmed)
- Very new app (launched March 2026, 10K+ downloads, limited independent review history)
- 10% p.a. late payment charge on top of what you already owe if you miss the due date
Is Tazee Legit?
Yes — Tazee is operated by a real, licensed company, not a scam. It shares its operating entity (Wawasan Cojaya Sdn. Bhd.) with Tambadana, which we independently verified holds KPKT license WL6646/14/01-6/301127. The Shariah compliance certification from Masryef Advisory is a genuine third-party religious compliance review — though note this is separate from, not a substitute for, KPKT financial regulatory licensing.
Still Verify Before You Apply
Masryef's certification confirms Shariah compliance, not financial license status. Always independently verify the operating company's KPKT license via i-KrediKom or our licensed lender checker before applying to any lender, including Tazee.
Tazee vs Tambadana vs GX Bank FlexiCredit
| Tazee | Tambadana | GX Bank FlexiCredit | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Structure | Shariah (Tawarruq) | Conventional | Conventional |
| Max rate | 18% p.a. (profit) | 18% p.a. flat (31.72% effective) | 6.45% p.a. max |
| Max amount | RM6,000 | RM10,000 | RM150,000 |
| Early settlement | No rebate | No fee, rebate applies | No fee |
| Late charge | 10% p.a. | 8% p.a. | None beyond interest |
| Documents needed | MyKad only | MyKad only | No payslip (verified via EPF) |
| Sign-up bonus | None | None | Free RM100 (kod OOIY691) |
If you're employed with EPF contributions, GX Bank FlexiCredit is dramatically cheaper regardless of whether you need a Shariah-compliant structure or not — GX Bank's FlexiCredit is itself Shariah-compliant financing at a much lower rate than either Tazee or Tambadana.

Who Should Use Tazee
Reasonable for:
- Muslim borrowers who specifically want a certified Shariah-compliant structure and don't qualify for GX Bank
- Small, genuinely short-term needs (RM320–RM2,000) where the amount matters more than minimizing cost
- Borrowers already comfortable with Tambadana's process (same operator, same app experience)
Not ideal for:
- Anyone planning to repay early to save money — the no-rebate policy removes that benefit
- Larger amounts (capped at RM6,000, lower than Tambadana's RM10,000)
- Anyone who qualifies for GX Bank or a bank Islamic personal financing product — both are cheaper
Don't Qualify for GX Bank or a Bank Loan?
KPKT LicensedTambadana and Tazee are licensed moneylender products from Fingular, operated by Wawasan Cojaya Sdn Bhd (KPKT license WL6646/14/01-6/301127, valid Dec 2025–Nov 2027). They're a fallback option, not the cheapest — always check GX Bank or a bank loan first if you qualify.
Reusable credit line up to RM20,000. 0% interest if repaid within 30 days, or split into 12 instalments. MyKad only, same-day approval & payout.
Check Tambadana →Financing RM320–RM6,000 via Tawarruq (Commodity Murabahah). MyKad only, ages 18–60. No rebate on early settlement.
Check Tazee →Verdict
Tazee is a legitimately Shariah-certified product from an established, licensed operator — not a scam, and a genuine option for Muslim borrowers prioritizing riba-free structuring. But "Shariah-compliant" is not the same claim as "cheaper": the underlying flat-rate math mirrors Tambadana's conventional product almost exactly, and the lack of an early-settlement rebate makes it more expensive than Tambadana if you plan to pay off early. Ask for the effective rate disclosure directly before committing.
Rating: 3/5 — Legitimate and genuinely Shariah-certified, but expensive relative to bank alternatives, and the no-rebate early settlement policy is worth knowing before you sign.
